China visit consolidated bilateral ties: PM Oli

Kathmandu, March 31: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said his recent visit to China has helped further consolidate bilateral ties between the two countries.

Addressing an interaction on ‘Nepal-China Relations: New Dimension and Potentialities’ organised by the International Concern Center Nepal Thursday, he stressed that Nepal should reap benefits from the important and historic agreements sealed by two close neighours during his visit.
Onwards our wholesome efforts be focused on attaining economic progress, he added.

Also speaking on the occasion, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Wu Chuntai said Prime Minister Oli’s recent visit to China was highly successful and China viewed it with importance. China always wishes to see rapid development of Nepal and its prosperity. Main opposition Nepali Congress Chief Whip Chinkaji Shrestha said the PM’s China visit remained productive and the enforcement of the fresh agreements signed by two countries would significantly help Nepal attain development.

UCPN (Maoist) lawmaker Ram Karki and former Ambassador Hiranyalal Shrestha was of the view of making no delay to enforce the fresh Nepal-China agreements. Former Chief Secretary Leelamani Poudyal, Nepal Chamber of Commerce Chair Rajesh Kaji Shrestha and Center Chair Dr Anjan Shakya described the PM’s China visit as tremendously successful and called for utilising its achievements in the interest of the country.
