Kathmandu, June 2: CPN Maoist Centre has formed the largest General Convention Organizing Committee till date.
The Politburo meeting held at the party’s central office at Parisdanda today formed a jumbo committee of 1,099 members. The meeting nominated 999 members while the remaining 100 will be added to the list in the coming days, Maoist Centre said.
The party has reserved the seats for 100 members with plan to fill it after a merger with Netra Bikran Chand led CPN Maoist and from a huge portion of the Naya Shakti Campaign.
The meeting has also formed 85-member Standing Committee and 255-member Politburo, said Spokesperson, Pampha Bhusal.
The Central Committee meeting on Wednesday had decided to form 75-member Standing Committee.
