Banepa, May 31: A child drowned in Jhingu rivulet at Panchkhal Municipality in Kavrepalanchowk district on Tuesday.
According to the District Police Office, Dhulikhel, the deceased has been identified as Ashish Kafle, 11. The incident took place while Ashish was swimming.
Meanwhile, Araniko highway has been obstructed due to heavy rainfall on Tuesday evening.
Police Inspector at the Traffic Police Office, Sukdev Khanal, said that some houses at Banepa-5 have been inundated following heavy rainfall.
