Nawalparasi, May 31: Police on Tuesday conducted the polygraph test on Rudra Narayan Chaudhary (Ashish), the boy friend of Manisha Ghartimagar, who was found dead inside her home. Ashish is accused of murdering Manisha, who is the sister of national football player Bimal Ghartimagar.
A specialist team that arrived here from the Western Regional Police Office, Pokhara, conducted the polygraph test on Ashish, informed Superintendent of Police, Rajendra Prasad Chaudhary.
However, the report is not divulged. Police said the District Police Office would hold a press conference about it at 9:00 am Wednesday.
SP Chaudhary said report on polygraph would be helpful to accelerate the investigation.
Meanwhile, the TU Teaching Hospital, Kathmandu, submitted the post-mortem report to the police.
Polygraph is a medical instrument that records several physiological processes simultaneously as pulse rate and blood pressure and respiration and perspiration. Nepal Police too have begun such test on accused criminals to make the investigation easier and more factual.
