Pokhara, Sept 29:President Bidya Devi Bhandari today drew the attention of authorities concerned towards the conservation of various types of local agro-seeds.
After taking stock of the functioning and activities of various agriculture-related offices in Pokhara, the President acknowledged the role of agriculture technicians in modernising agricultural sector.
Saying agricultural sector of the country still lags behind in terms of development, she also laid out the need for the government to accord a special priority to agriculture by addressing the dearth of manpower in this sector.
On the occasion, Regional Agriculture Director Dhan Bahadur Gharti apprised the President of the problems facing agricultural sector.
