Kathmandu, June 21: Water level in the Saptakoshi River has continued to increase due to incessant rainfall in the eastern region.
According to the District Police Office, Sunsari, the water current in the river has been measured at 140,070 cusec at 6:15 pm on Tuesday.
Police shared that 22 sluice gates of Koshi barrage have been kept open at 6:00 pm. The water flow was 126,230 cusec on Tuesday afternoon.
Locals around the Sptakoshi barrage have turned fearful after abrupt rise in the water level of the Saptakoshi River.
